The popular microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, has successfully resumed operations in Pakistan following a 39-hour outage, according to ARY News.

The outage began on February 17 at 9 p.m., impacting users who had trouble accessing new posts and tweets.

Users nationwide were irritated by the ‘this site can’t be reached’ message that appeared after multiple attempts to load the website, according to ARY News.

A notable increase in reports of X outages was observed during the outage, according to Downdetector.pk, a real-time monitoring tool for social media and internet outages.

The number of reported outages increased, according to ARY News, from 185 at 9:01 p.m. to 239 by 9:24 p.m., which raised users’ anxieties and led them to vent their annoyance on social media.
