In an incident in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, two terrorists were slain. In the firefight, two security guards were also hurt, according to officials.

Security personnel set up a search and cordon in the northern district of Rafiabad’s Hadipora neighbourhood before the confrontation began. According to officials, after the terrorists started shooting at the security personnel, this became an encounter.

Two bodies have reportedly been spotted at the scene of the gunfight but have not yet been removed, according to a senior police official. The official said that during the gunfight with the militants, two security personnel—an army jawan and a police officer—were hurt.

Schools were instructed to close and local traffic was halted as a result of the operation. According to the army, particular information inputs led to the joint operation in Hadipora between the J&K police and the army. A statement said, “…two terrorists eliminated, operation in progress.”

This occurs two days after a terrorist was slain in the Bandipora district’s Aragam neighbourhood after a confrontation with security personnel.
