Large Orders Are Handled by L&T in India and Abroad

Significant order wins in a number of industries have recently been announced by Larsen and Toubro (L&T) in both domestic and foreign markets. These orders, which are valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore and were mainly obtained by its Heavy Engineering arm, represent a noteworthy accomplishment for the business in the third quarter of FY25.

L&T has strengthened its position as a global leader in heavy engineering by securing one of its biggest orders for LNG equipment for a project in the USA.

An innovative order for a loop reactor in a Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Polypropylene (PP) Plant in Turkey was secured, demonstrating L&T’s sophisticated petrochemical manufacturing capabilities.

A repeat order for the renovation of a Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) from an oil and gas client demonstrated the company’s dependability in challenging projects.

Additionally, an order was obtained for the supply of essential parts for high-pressure heat exchangers and hydrocracker reactors.

Additionally, the company has secured a contract for a 400kV substation in Kuwait as part of a significant project.

Notable customers like Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd. and Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation have placed orders for three urea reactors from L&T’s Heavy Engineering division. This strengthens L&T’s position as the industry leader, bringing the total number of urea reactor orders in recent years to 17.

L&T’s power transmission and distribution vertical has also secured significant orders worth between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore in addition to the contracts mentioned above. These consist of:

West Bengal’s installation of a cutting-edge distribution management system with the goal of improving the effectiveness of power distribution.

Saudi Arabia has placed a significant substation order to facilitate the evacuation of solar power.

Kuwait’s 400 kV substation project.

These advancements highlight L&T’s strong position in the engineering and construction industries, where it has used its technological know-how to land important projects both locally and abroad.
