At a session of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Sitharaman praised the overseas Indians and referred to them as the “true ambassadors of India.”

She advised them to use an increasing number of “Made in India” goods in order to advance India’s reputation as a brand on a global scale.

The minister claimed that the government was promoting India as the hub of global manufacturing and that, after the “China plus one” policy, the “European Union plus one” policy is currently gaining attention.

According to her, the Indian Diaspora should work with both small and large companies in India so that the nation can benefit from their entrepreneurial know-how throughout the 25 years or Amrit Kal of Independence.

She emphasised that because of the top-tier Indian professionals in information technology, digital technology, automobiles, semiconductor designing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other fields, India is advancing at a phenomenal rate toward becoming a hub of knowledge and progress on a global scale.
