Anti-Hindu hatred is abominable and has no place in our communities, according to a UK minister.

Anti-Hindu bigotry is repugnant and has no place in our communities, according to Lee Rowley, UK Minister for Local Government and Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities.

He said that the UK government is collaborating with the police and neighbourhood partners to track and address it.

Rowley was responding to a query posed by Navendu Mishra, a UK parliamentarian.

Rowley had been questioned by Mishra over his department’s evaluation of “trends in levels of Hinduphobia” in the UK.

Kemi Badenoch, the UK’s Secretary of State for Business and Trade, has denounced the March attack by pro-Khalistan supporters on the Indian High Commission in London. She called the assault a “disgrace,” Khalsa Vox reported.

A gang of roughly 50 people attacked the High Commission of India in London in March, breaking into the building illegally, disrespecting the Indian National Flag, damaging nearby properties and injuring High Commission of India staff members.

Avtar Singh Khanda of the KLF, Gurcharan Singh of the Dal Khalsa in the UK, Jasvir Singh, and numerous other of their associates—both Indian and foreign nationals—who have all been named during the continuing NIA investigations—organized the attack.

According to Khalsa Vox, Badenoch also reaffirmed the British government’s dedication to safeguarding the protection and safety of all ambassadors.

The complex topic of integration and the difficulties presented by extremism were highlighted by Minister Badenoch during a session of trade ministers at the B20 Summit in India 2023.

No matter how much a nation is a worldwide superpower, issues will always arise. As an immigrant to the UK, I can speak from experience when I say that one of the most intriguing things about the country is that foreigners frequently fail to assimilate in the way that society expects.

According to Khalsa Vox, the attack on the Indian High Commission in London not only called into question the sanctity of diplomatic properties but also raised issues regarding the safety of diplomats and the wider consequences for international relations.

She said, “I personally thought that what happened was a disgrace, and I speak on behalf of the UK government—not just personally.”

The Indian High Commission in London has come under direct attack, according to UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, who stated that such attacks are “completely unacceptable.”

According to him, the UK has made it plain to the Indian government and Vikram Doraiswami, the High Commissioner of India to the UK, that employee safety at the High Commission is of utmost importance.

The Indian High Commission in London is the target of any direct attacks, which are wholly inappropriate. The safety of the workers at the High Commission is vital, we have made clear to @VDoraiswami and the Government of India,” Cleverly wrote in a tweet.
