The Indian Army’s Northern Command has mapped out a strategy incorporating the newest “Atmanirbhar” technologies to fight future wars in response to the unique challenge of dealing with two adversaries on the borders as well as the threat of state-sponsored actors trying to destabilise internal security. According to a defence official, the roadmap was created during a two-day Northern Command Techno Commanders’ Seminar that finished on Tuesday at the military installation in Nagrota.

To explore the problem and get commanders ready for potential confrontations, the conference was organised in collaboration with academics and think tanks.

The spokeswoman stated that “on the first day, selected essays were presented by the Officers and on day two, viewpoints on the subject were offered by experts.”

According to him, the rapid introduction of new technologies has changed the nature of challenges to countries and their armed forces, making the twenty-first century a period of unparalleled change in global economic, politico-diplomatic, and military doctrines.

“By harnessing new technology and fostering innovations through indigenization and ‘atmanirbharta,’ the Indian Army has set out on a road of capability growth and force modernization,” he stated.

“As a result, there is a growing need to deploy technology to ensure that human resources are used effectively in combating enemies. The programme focused on upgrading commanders’ technological exploitation skills for the next technologically advanced battlefields, as well as equipping them with the agility and comfort to command troops spread across time and space “said a representative for the defence.

According to him, current and future battles would not only be waged by the military but also as a whole-nation strategy that heavily relied on technology in both the physical and informational spheres.

According to the spokesman, “the seminar will allow the Northern army (Command) to take into account the technical requirements of the commanders and determine the most recent advancements in the technological sector of the battle field.”

He claimed that it would make it easier to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge technologies into the military to effectively boost the Indian Army’s potency while enhancing efficiency.
