Collaboration and Technology Transfer Technology transfer and cooperation with India’s private sector are at the heart of DRDO’s approach. It allows for large-scale production for export by transferring technology for a variety of systems to Indian defense manufacturers. In order to jointly develop and produce cutting-edge systems, DRDO has also forged cooperative agreements with foreign defense firms.
Tactical missiles, weapons and ammunition, sensors, avionics, EW systems, life science products, torpedoes, communication systems, and engineering systems are just a few of the defense technologies that DRDO develops. There is potential for exporting many of these products.
By offering technology transfer, handholding assistance, and the required legislative framework to support Indian industries’ exports, DRDO assists industries. In order to help industry respond to friendly countries’ RFPs, DRDO also assists industry in developing the specifications of the export variant of the products.
