In the Doda area of Jammu and Kashmir, an army jawan was hurt earlier in the day in a gunfight with terrorists. Around two in the morning, the conflict broke out in the Kastigarh region’s Jaddan Bata village.

This followed the deaths of four Army members in the Doda area, including an officer, while battling militants. Naik D. Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, Sepoy Ajay, and Captain Brijesh Thapa all lost their lives while performing their duties.

Security authorities launched a big crackdown on the local terror network shortly after this.

The “Kashmir Tigers,” a covert organization of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), which is supported by Pakistan, claimed responsibility for the July 16 attack.

Following a recent spike in terror strikes in the Jammu region over the past few weeks, security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir are on high alert.

Three terrorists were killed when the Indian Army stopped an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara district on July 14.

In twin gunfights in the Kulgam district on July 6, security forces shot and killed six militants, while two troops were also killed.

Most recently, three militants were slain in a confrontation with security troops in Doda on June 26. Three terrorists were killed when the Army surrounded a hideout with four of them, which sparked the altercation.
