On the fringes of the ongoing security conference in Munich, Germany, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met and had a “big picture chat” with his Norwegian counterpart, Espen Barth Eide, on Saturday.

The two ministers talked about the world order and reformed multilateralism.

The EAM wrote on X, “A big picture chat with FM @EspenBarthEide of Norway on sidelines of MSC 2024.”

“Spoke about the imperative of reformed multilateralism and a more equitable world order,” he continued.

Jaishankar is in Munich, Germany from February 16–18, 2024, for the Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2024.

The Observer Research Foundation (ORF), India, a think tank with its headquarters in New Delhi, organised a session on ‘Vishwa Mitra: Bridging the Divide’, which he also attended.

The EAM and Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, spoke about bilateral collaboration between their nations in a variety of fields during their discussion.

“We had a thorough conversation on the Ukraine situation today on the MSC 2024 sidelines with FM @sikorskiradek of Poland. also discussed our bilateral cooperation in various aspects and exchanged opinions,” he said on X.

The EAM praised the development of bilateral ties between Belgium and India during his meeting with Hadja Lahbib, the foreign minister of Belgium.
