On July 1, late in the evening, Jammu and Kashmir Police prevented a great catastrophe by apprehending a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organisation who was carrying four perfume bottle IEDs in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir.

A Gulshababad Qaimoh resident named Yasir Ahmed Ittoo, a terror accomplice, was captured by Srinagar Police at the Batamaloo bus stop, according to a police spokesman.

Jammu & Kashmir Police open an investigation

Police have opened an inquiry into a case under Sections 3/5 of the Explosive Substances Act, 7/25 of the Arms Act, and Section 13.23 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at the Batamaloo police station.
