MYANMAR IS ANGRY AT PAKISTAN FOR SUPPLYING ‘UNFIT’ FIGHTER JETS, SAYS A REPORT

Between 2019 and 2021, Pakistan supplied Myanmar with a large number of JF-17 Thunder combat aircraft, all of which have been deemed “unfit for operations.”

The Burmese military junta agreed to buy the JF-17, which was developed jointly by Chengdu Aircraft Industries Corporation of China and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, in 2016 as part of a deal that was struck. However, soon after the planes were delivered, the Burmese Air Force was obliged to ground them due to structural issues that were found.

According to Narinjara announcement, Pakistan’s attempts to sell comparable aircraft to other nations, particularly Latin American nations, have encountered difficulties in the wake of the announcement of the crisis brought on by the malfunctioning of the JF-17s.

Following this, the military junta declined to enter into any additional negotiations with Pakistan regarding the purchase of aircraft, and other nations have also been unwilling to communicate with Pakistan.

It’s noteworthy that China has not included even one JF-17 in
