NSA AJIT DOVAL DISCUSSES SECURITY AND REGIONAL STABILITY WITH OMAN’S LEADERSHIP AFTER MEETING THEM

Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor (NSA), conducted an official visit to Oman on Monday and met with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the country’s highest official.

Doval gave him a special greeting from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs.

General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, also had extensive meetings with the NSA.

The discussions allowed for a high-level evaluation of the intricate bilateral ties between India and Oman, with a focus on enhancing their complementary cooperation in crucial sectors for the advancement of science and technology, shared security, and regional stability, the statement said.

The visit by the NSA underlines India’s commitment to deepening its strategic cooperation with Oman and underscores the importance of the Sultanate of Oman as a vital partner for India in the Gulf, according to the statement. It also reflects the strong bilateral connection between India and Oman.

High-level engagements were possible during the visit, which further strengthened the connection between India and the Sultanate of Oman.
