Pakistan’s defenses were exposed as India met all of its goals in Operation Sindoor: Rajnath Singh

While reiterating that the nation’s battle against cross-border terrorism is far from over, India’s defense minister, Rajnath Singh, proclaimed Operation Sindoor a full success, with all of its goals accomplished.

Singh, speaking to troops at a forward military camp in Bhuj, Gujarat, emphasized that the action sent a clear message about India’s readiness and resolve.

Singh disclosed that despite Pakistan’s massive endeavor to penetrate India’s defenses from Sir Creek in Gujarat to Leh in Ladakh, the offensive was halted on all fronts. He gave the Indian military credit for their accurate and well-coordinated response, which prevented any gains by Pakistan.

He pointed out that this coordinated defense effort demonstrated India’s increasing operational cohesion, a long-term change that is now essential to military strategy.

The minister made it clear in his statements that India’s response not only stopped the Pakistani attack but also revealed significant weaknesses in Pakistan’s air defense capabilities. The counterattack showed that Indian forces possessed the operational adaptability and technology superiority to break into enemy networks and eliminate threats. Singh emphasized that this was a strategic and psychological blow to Pakistan.

Singh was cautious to emphasize, however, that the goal of Operation Sindoor was not to incite a full-scale conflict. Rather, its mission was very clear: to punish and discourage terrorist action coming from the other side of the border. He reaffirmed that India was not seeking escalation for its own purpose, but rather was focusing on terrorism and its infrastructure. Singh claimed that in order to preserve India’s reputation as a responsible nation, this differentiation was essential.

According to Singh’s assessment, India’s military has attained a high level of deterrence and preparedness in the western theater. He did, however, remind soldiers and the general public that the fight against terrorism is still ongoing and calls for unwavering attention to detail. “If Pakistan-sponsored actions continue, future encounters will be met with the same readiness and decisive retaliation,” he said.

The remarks were made right before the Bhuj air base’s customary shastra puja (Worship of Weapons) ceremony to commemorate Dussehra. By highlighting that the strength of the armed forces resided not just in armament but also in national unity and soldierly spirit, Singh used the occasion to connect India’s martial history with contemporary defense readiness.
