PURI, ISRAELI ENERGY MINISTER, WISHES TO INAUGURATE IOC PHINERGY PAVILION AT AUTO EXPO

According to a press statement from the Israeli Embassy, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gilon today inaugurated the pavilion built up by IOC Phinergy Private Limited at the Auto Expo Motor Show in Greater Noida.

The exhibit of IOC Phinergy Private Limited will showcase aluminum-air technology and applications in e-mobility. According to an Israeli Embassy press release, IOC Phinergy Private Limited, which will be formed in 2021, is a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Israeli start-up company Phinergy.

The joint venture intends to develop and manufacture aluminum-air batteries for a variety of applications such as electric vehicle power, material handling equipment, and stationary storage. Naor Gilon attended the Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida and New Delhi, where he was pleased to witness cooperative efforts between the two countries in these industries.

As India and Israel celebrate 30 years of bilateral relations, the private sectors in both countries have begun to collaborate in a variety of fields. One of the primary areas of cooperation between the two countries is smart mobility, electric vehicles, and sustainable transportation.

The joint venture between Indian company Steel Strip Wheels and Israeli company Redler Technologies was also unveiled today. The ceremony took place at Auto Expo Components event in New Delhi. The joint venture will focus on research, production and India market sales of motion controllers for electric vehicles.

The two companies had announced their joint venture just a few months after they were first introduced by the Israel Economic and Commercial Mission at the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Naor Gilon said that the synergy between Israeli technology and the Indian automotive sector has the potential to bring benefits for both nations.\

According to an Israel Embassy press release, Gilon emphasised that the two countries can combine their resources to develop sophisticated technologies that will increase green mobility and expedite the adoption of electric vehicles in India.

“The synergy between Israeli technology and the Indian automotive sector has the potential to offer tremendous benefits to both countries,” stated Naor Gilon in a press release. By collaborating, the two countries may utilise their capabilities to create breakthrough technologies that would improve green mobility and speed India’s adoption of electric vehicles.”

“I am convinced that such collaborative ventures would lead to great success and offer a further boost to the ‘Make in India’ effort, which will not only benefit India,” he added.
