Referring to PM Modi, Italian Prime Minister Meloni criticizes the “double standards” of the international political left wing.

Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, recently criticized the worldwide Left for what she sees as a “double standard” in the portrayal of conservative politicians.

Speaking through a video link at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, DC, she drew attention to the way that individuals such as Donald Trump, Javier Milei, and Narendra Modi are portrayed as threats to democracy, in contrast to the acclaim that former leftist leaders like Tony Blair and Bill Clinton received when they established their own political networks in the 1990s.

Meloni emphasized in her speech the principles that she thinks conservatives uphold: family values, freedom, national pride, and secure borders. She also reaffirmed the significance of robust national security policy and denounced what she called “Wokeism”. She notably commended Trump’s leadership style and implied that the United States will steer clear of foreign policy calamities like the pullout from Afghanistan under his presidency.

Meloni’s comments are part of a growing trend of right-wing politicians working together more and more internationally. As conservatives gain traction in other nations, she said, this partnership is making leftist politicians anxious, and their annoyance has escalated into frenzy.
