Russian Businesses Take Part in the India Expo for Smart Cities

An important milestone in global collaboration for urban development was reached when Russian businesses made their debut at the Smart Cities India Expo 2025, which took place in New Delhi from March 19 to 21. This event, which was organised under the national brand “Made in Russia” and sponsored by the Russian Export Centre (REC), featured 14 businesses from different parts of Russia, including Novosibirsk, Saint Petersburg, and Moscow, exhibiting cutting-edge smart city technologies like energy-saving devices, charging stations, and water purification systems.

Many of these businesses have made inroads into the Indian market through joint ventures and fruitful pilot projects with local governments, according to Anna Benediktova, REC representative in India. For both novices and seasoned participants, the show provided a useful forum for networking with possible partners.

During the expo, the REC organised more than 150 business-to-business meetings, giving Russian companies the chance to establish partnerships and grow their networks in India’s rapidly developing digital economy. Indian stakeholders, including big developers and companies working on green energy and urban infrastructure projects, showed a great deal of interest in the event.

The Smart Cities India Expo is seen as a crucial occasion for advancing innovation and sustainable development in urban settings. With thousands of attendees and exhibitors, it’s the perfect place to start conversations about improving India’s digital environment and socioeconomic development.
