The 15th edition of the Biennial Aero-India International Seminar begins in Bangalore.

The 15th Biennial Aero-India International Seminar kicked off on February 8, 2025, in Bangalore, Karnataka. The two-day seminar was organised by the Centre for Military Airworthiness & Certification (CEMILAC) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in collaboration with the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) as a lead-up to Aero India 2025, which will take place in Bengaluru from February 10 to 14, 2025.

The seminar is a key event in the worldwide aircraft industry. This year’s subject is ‘Futuristic Aerospace Technologies: Challenges in Design Validation’, with a focus on Emerging Trends in Futuristic Aerospace Technologies and Military Airworthiness & Certification: Design and Testing Challenges.

International delegates attending the event include representatives from notable international businesses such as Airbus Defence and Space in Spain, Collins Aerospace, GE Aerospace, Martin-Baker, MBDA, and Rolls-Royce in the United Kingdom, Rafael Advanced Defence Systems in Israel, and SAFRAN France. Abeyaantrix Solutions, Ansys Inc., Globals Inc., JSR Dynamics Pvt. Ltd, RAPHE mPhibr, and TAQBit Labs Private Limited are among the Indian companies that will attend the event.

The seminar provides an opportunity to explore joint research prospects and create strategic relationships, therefore enhancing the future of aerospace and military technology. There are 12 technical sessions scheduled, covering a variety of subjects related to Challenges in Design Validation on Futuristic Aerospace Technologies.

Dr. V Narayanan, Secretary of Space and Chairman of ISRO, was the event’s Chief Guest, while Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO, was the Guest of Honour.
