The Indian Army Will Receive Thermal Weapon Sights From TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL)

The Indian Army has placed orders with TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) to purchase its Rajak thermal weapon sight cooled (TWC). To enhance their targeting capabilities, TASL will provide these systems to the Indian Army’s various geographical commands.

For the Indian Armed Forces, TATA Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) has unveiled the RAJAK TWS-Series, a military-grade uncooled thermal imaging weapon sight. In difficult situations, the RAJAK TWS-Series improves soldiers’ capabilities and situational awareness.

Because of its durability and light weight, the weapon sight will function dependably even in the most adverse circumstances. Even in total darkness, it enables soldiers to identify targets at a distance of 500–1,800 meters.

Clear thermal imagery from the RAJAK TWS-Series aids soldiers in making prompt, precise decisions.

Rajak-XLR (Extra-Long Range) is a new surveillance system created by TASL. The Rajak-XLR is made up of a laser rangefinder, a long-range continuous zoom thermal camera, and a long-range continuous zoom day camera.

The detection range of the system is 40 km for humans and 50 km for vehicles. A more sophisticated version of TASL’s Rajak-ULR (ultra-long range) surveillance system is called Rajak-XLR.

The Indian Army received the first shipment of 40 Tactical Access Switch (TAS) systems from TASL. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully received the Advanced Loitering System-50 (ALS-50), also known as the “Suicide Drone,” loitering munition from TASL. Advanced UAVs are being developed by TASL.

From its Hyderabad facility, TATA Boeing (a joint venture between TASL and Boeing) successfully delivered the first fuselage for the Indian Army’s AH-64 Apache combat helicopters.

For the Indian Air Force, TASL and Airbus will work together to manufacture and assemble medium-lift tactical C-295 transport aircraft in India.

For the Indian Armed Forces, TASL also designs, develops, and manufactures missile and rocket launchers (such as Akash, MRSAM, TCT Agni, ULAD, and Pinaka).
