US OFFICIAL RENA BITTER WILL GO TO INDIA AND PARTICIPATE IN THREE CITIES

Rena Bitter, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, will visit India and interact with colleagues in the embassy and consulates in Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

From February 19 to February 27, she will be visiting Qatar and India. She will see US consular teams at action in Doha.

The second-largest US consulate mission in the world is located in India. Here, Bitter will take a delegation from the United States to facilities in Chennai and Mumbai and conduct a bilateral consular discussion with their counterparts in New Delhi.

The announcement further noted that the US official’s visit comes after a record-breaking year for visa issuance in India.

“Our consular activities in Qatar and India strengthen the vital economic and people-to-people links the United

“I can see how far India has come in the previous two terms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi…We want India to be more involved in global affairs, which is why we want to work with them more closely,” he told ANI.

Along with a group of five senators, Gerard Larcher, the chairman of the French Senate, is in India on an official visit on February 19–20. The purpose of the visit is to improve India-France parliamentary collaboration and bilateral relations.
