A chargesheet was recently issued by the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir against prominent members of the “Kashmir Fight” social media site, which is connected to the militant organization The Resistance Front (TRF).
Following an investigation that started in February 2024 in response to a string of threatening posts directed at migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees with the intention of sowing fear and upsetting regional harmony, this action was taken.
Farhaan Muzaffar Mattoo, a native of Srinagar, is one of the key individuals identified in the chargesheet. He is suspected of collecting and sharing private information about these employees via encrypted communication channels.
According to the SIA, Mattoo served as a channel for information to reach Pakistani handlers, who then threatened people using the “Kashmir Fight” platform. The mastermind of this intimidation campaign is also identified as Sheikh Sajjad Ahmad, better known as Sajjad Gul, who plans to instigate sectarian trouble from his base in Pakistan.
