In Agra, an Air Force paratrooper passes away during a routine parajumping exercise.

Manju Nath, a 36-year-old Karnataka native and Junior Warrant Officer in the Indian Air Force (IAF), passed away in Agra on Friday while participating in a standard parachuting exercise at the Malpura dropping zone.

His parachute failed to open, causing the incident. At around nine in the morning, twelve paratroopers, including Manju Nath, leaped from the plane.

Manju Nath went missing and was later discovered in a wheat field in Sutendi village, while the other eleven paratroopers made it back to base without incident. Despite being taken to the hospital immediately, he was not able to recover.

Police released the body to his family after completing the necessary legal procedures.
