A Look at PM Modi’s Diplomatic Successes on the Global Level and His Power Moves.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has established itself as a prominent global mediator and diplomatic power, winning praise for its efforts in conflict resolution, counter-terrorism, and humanitarian endeavours. Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski welcomed PM Modi’s participation in convincing Russian President Vladimir Putin against using tactical nuclear weapons in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, highlighting India’s contribution in global peace efforts.

President Putin expressed thanks for India’s diplomatic efforts, underlining Prime Minister Modi’s resolve to resolving hostilities. India’s impartial posture and aggressive diplomacy have also enhanced ties with Russia, which President Putin praised as “specially privileged,” while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed that India organise a meeting to examine avenues to peace.

India’s counterterrorism initiatives have received substantial foreign backing. Following bilateral conversations between Prime Minister Modi and then-US President Donald Trump, the US decided to extradite Tahawwur Rana, the accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, to India.

Furthermore, India’s surgical strikes against terrorism have earned widespread support from countries like as Japan, Germany, the UAE, and Russia, demonstrating worldwide cooperation against terrorism.

On the internal level, India’s repeal of Article 370 received international support despite Pakistan’s resistance. Countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Russia, Israel, Bahrain, and Iran supported India’s move, demonstrating the country’s rising diplomatic power. Despite Pakistan’s attempts to rally international support against India’s withdrawal of Article 370, Saudi Arabia supported India’s decision.

India’s G20 chairmanship highlighted the country’s global leadership. Despite the hurdles provided by the Russia-Ukraine war, India successfully reached an agreement among member states through long negotiations and strategic consultations.

This feat demonstrated its capacity to negotiate difficult geopolitical situations successfully. Additionally, India demonstrated its diplomatic prowess by negotiating the release of eight former Indian Navy soldiers serving death sentences in Qatar through high-level interventions.

Humanitarian operations under PM Modi have boosted India’s worldwide standing. Operations such as Ganga (evacuating Indians from Ukraine), Devi Shakti (evacuation from Afghanistan), Kaveri (rescue from Sudan), Samudra Setu (COVID-19 repatriation), and Ajay (evacuation from Israel during the Israel-Hamas war) demonstrate India’s commitment to defending its nationals overseas. Furthermore, programs such as Vaccine Maitri sent COVID-19 vaccinations to over 100 countries, demonstrating India’s leadership in global health diplomacy. Disaster relief efforts such as Operation Dost in Turkey and Syria, as well as Operation Sadbhav in neighbouring nations during crises, demonstrate India’s humanitarian outreach.

Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has grown into a strong diplomatic force capable of resolving crises, battling terrorism, and spearheading humanitarian initiatives. These strategic actions have greatly improved India’s global stature and established foreign partnerships.
