According to reports on Monday, army troops opened fire in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after seeing movement of a Pakistani drone and suspected people at two separate locations along the Line of Control (LoC). According to the officials, during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, there was suspicious movement in Keri sector involving some people who were thought to be terrorists, while the drone movement was detected in a forward location in Sunderbani.

They claimed that shortly after the Pakistani quadcopter entered Indian territory, troops fired at least four shots at it in an attempt to bring it down, but the aircraft fled across the Line of Control.

Additionally, after seeing suspicious activity from some people attempting to infiltrate, the troops shot a few rounds.
