The Ahmadiyya Muslim minority, who are frequently attacked and persecuted in Pakistan, has a mosque in the Kotli area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) that was vandalised.

Eight Ahmadi worshippers, including five women, were hurt when a mob of fifty individuals, armed with shovels, hammers, and sticks, rushed the mosque on Monday. The mosque’s four minarets were also destroyed.

Images and videos of a mob defiling the mosque’s four minarets have appeared on social media platform X.

Both Sunni and Shia Muslims in Pakistan refer to the Ahmadi Muslims as Qadianis, and they often openly advocate for an Islamist jihad to eradicate the minority.
