On the fringes of the Munich security conference on Friday, European Union (EU) foreign policy leader Josep Borrell met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

Jaishankar stated on X that he was “delighted to catch-up with EU HRVP @JosepBorrellF in Munich.”

“Exchanged viewpoints regarding the state of the world today. Anticipating his arrival in India,” he continued.

According to an official release, the 60th Munich Security Conference (MSC) began with an in-person gathering at its customary location, the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, on February 16–18, 2024.

The meeting is being chaired this year by Christoph Heusgen, the German ambassador to the US.
