On Sunday, March 23, 2025, security troops in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir successfully unearthed a major terrorist hideaway. The Rashtriya Rifles and the local police’s Special Operations Group carried out this operation in the isolated Sarabara forest area, which is close to Sangla Top.
Officials found a sizable stash of weapons and explosives during the protracted search, including:
Bomb disposal specialists then demolished the IEDs, grenades, detonators, timed device, cortex, and safety fuse on the scene.
Interestingly, no one was taken into custody during this operation, underscoring the continued difficulties security personnel in the area have in preventing terrorism and ensuring public safety.
In a another event that same day, security forces conducted another search in the Doda district and found a sizable cache of weapons and ammunition.
