Southern Naval Command is visited by Lebanese armed forces.

A five-person training delegation from the Lebanese Armed Forces is visiting the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, and the Southern Naval Command, Kochi, from July 3 through July 8, under the command of Brigadier General Hussein Bazzi. The team spoke with Rear Admiral Upal Kundu, Chief Staff Officer (Training), during the current visit, and they discussed how the two forces could work together and interoperate in the area of training.

The group met with Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Sea Training, at Headquarters Sea Training (HQST). Various operational sea training topics were discussed professionally.

The party also toured the Southern Naval Command training facilities in Kochi, where they saw cutting-edge training infrastructure, equipment, and simulator demonstrations. After the delegation’s visit to Kochi is through, they will travel to INA Ezhimala to look at potential areas of mutual cooperation in the area of naval training.
