“S Christopher, a former DRDO chairman and secretary of the Department of Defense’s R&D, has joined the AXISCADES board. From June 30, 2023, he will serve as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, according to the statement.

Christopher has a PhD in antenna and measurement techniques from IIT-Madras, an M-Tech in microwave and radar engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and an engineering degree from University of Madras.

He has received numerous awards during his more than two-decade career as a scientist, and he is also credited with creating the indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system for defence.

Arun Krishnamurthi, CEO and MD of AXISCADES, stated that S Christopher “will significantly enhance the company’s offerings in advanced defence solutions to our international customers and Indian defence.”
