The Indian Army has awarded a contract of ₹44.36 crore to HTL Limited, a material subsidiary of HFCL Ltd. Tactical optical fibre cable assemblies, which are made locally and made to endure the harsh circumstances of the battlefield, are part of the deal.
These assemblies have specialised military-grade connectors and optical fibre cables that can support large loads from armoured vehicles. They are lightweight enough for infantry to carry in their backpacks and are designed for quick deployment in difficult conditions.
It is anticipated that the deal will be signed by July 2025. This advancement demonstrates HFCL’s capacity to offer cutting-edge defensive application solutions in addition to its proficiency with digital networks for telcos, businesses, and governments.
In spite of this good news, HFCL’s consolidated net profit fell 10.4% from the prior year in the December quarter of FY25.
Along with this army deal, HFCL has signed large-scale contracts for other telecom circles as part of important initiatives like the BharatNet Phase-III Program.
