The Ministry of Defense has awarded Action Construction Equipment Ltd (ACE) a substantial contract worth ₹420 Crores for the procurement of 1,121 Rough Terrain Fork Lift Trucks (RTFLTs). Sixty percent of the 1,868 RTFLTs that will be purchased for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force are included in this order. The deal strengthens ACE’s position as a leader in these industries by showcasing its proficiency with specialized cranes and material handling equipment.
1,121 RTFLTs would be supplied for 420 crores.
Procurement Share: ACE obtained a commanding 60% of the entire order.
Application in Defense: All three branches of India’s armed forces will benefit from improved logistical efficiency and battle preparedness thanks to the RTFLTs.
Strategic Importance: Encourages domestic production in support of India’s “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” programs.

This is in line with more general economic objectives centered on strengthening domestic industries.
