At a Navreh event on Sunday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reiterated the Central government’s resolve to guarantee the respectful repatriation of Kashmiri Pandits to the Kashmir Valley. In order to facilitate their relocation, he underlined the continuous efforts to remove barriers and establish a favourable atmosphere. The Delhi government is eager for them to return and reside in the Valley, Sinha said, urging the community to think about doing so.
Sinha praised the Kashmiri Pandit community’s role in nation-building and emphasised their important contributions to Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural and spiritual legacy. He exhorted the younger generation to observe Navratri as “Nari Shakti Utsav” and make a commitment to giving women equal rights. Additionally, the lieutenant governor gave PM Package employees assurances that steps would be done to guarantee they receive benefits comparable to those of other government workers.
Sinha said that measures would be done to further enhance conditions and remove obstacles for the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, acknowledging the difficulties they confront. He wished Navreh well, stressing the need of unity in diversity and calling for cooperation for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir.
