Additionally, the company claims that severe weather pushed the legitimate flight into Pakistani airspace.

Due to severe weather, IndiGo 6e-2124 briefly entered Pakistani airspace before being diverted to Amritsar, an official told ANI.

According to a spokesperson for the airline, both nations’ relevant authorities were alerted before the IndiGo flight entered Pakistani airspace, and Jammu and Lahore ATCs successfully coordinated the flight’s diversion.

According to sources, the aeroplane was scheduled to land at Jammu airport but was diverted to Amritsar due to inclement weather.

The jet did, however, safely land in Amritsar after briefly entering Pakistani territory, according to the authority.

In a related incident from earlier this month, a hazardous weather-related entry by an IndiGo Amritsar-Ahmedabad flight into Pakistani airspace.

Due to severe weather, IndiGo flight 6E-645, which was travelling from Amritsar to Ahmedabad, was forced to deviate over Atari and enter Pakistani airspace. Amritsar ATC successfully organised the deviation over the phone with Pakistan. The flight safely landed in Ahmedabad following the deviation, the crew was in constant communication with Pakistan on R/T, according to an official statement from IndiGo.
