ACRON Aviation’s New Bangalore Facility Increases Their MRO Footprint

In Bangalore, Acron Aviation, formerly L3Harris CAS, opened a new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. Beginning with specialized equipment utilized by both commercial and military fleets, the facility seeks to develop domestic capacity for advanced aviation maintenance and testing services.

The Bangalore MRO center has the capacity to test and repair the SRVIVR25 line of flight recorders during its initial phase of operation. Because they guarantee dependable data preservation and crash recovery compliance for both airline operators and regulatory bodies, these are essential for enhancing aviation safety.A three-year expansion roadmap for the center has been laid out by the corporation. Acron Aviation plans to extend repair and service capabilities for other classes of flight recorders, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS), and sophisticated cockpit display systems by progressively scaling infrastructure.

The growing need for high-tech MRO solutions in India’s expanding civil aviation ecosystem is in line with this gradual capabilities build-up.

As part of its urgent certification milestone, Acron Aviation is currently applying for approval of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) CAR-145.
