S. Jaishankar Meets with an Omani Diplomat and Talks About Diverse India-Oman Connections
The wide and strategic alliance between India and Oman was the subject of a recent meeting between External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Khalifa Alharthy, Oman’s Under Secretary for Political Affairs. As part of a larger engagement during the 13th session of the India-Oman Strategic Consultative Group (IOSCG) meeting, this meeting was held in New Delhi on December 3, 2024.
Jaishankar highlighted the close bilateral connections that have grown over time during their talks, stressing collaboration in a number of areas such as commerce, investment, and cross-cultural interactions. According to him, these connections are crucial for both countries and greatly enhance stability and development in the area.
Both parties have committed to further strengthening their strategic cooperation, and the meeting represents ongoing efforts to expand collaboration. This includes talks on a range of international topics where both nations may effectively cooperate and align their interests.
