Godrej Enterprises Aerospace Unit and 3D Printing Player EOS Sign Agreement

In order to create an additive manufacturing (AM)-based ecosystem specifically suited to India’s aviation and space sectors, the Godrej Enterprises Group’s aerospace division has inked a first partnership with EOS, a top supplier of industrial 3D printing solutions.

Through the use of additive manufacturing (AM) technology, which makes it possible to create intricate shapes and sizes in a single printing process, this collaboration seeks to transform production processes.

It is anticipated that the partnership will strengthen India’s technological prowess and establish it as a world leader in aerospace innovation.

With the largest AM worldwide install base in the space technology industry, EOS contributes a great deal of technological know-how to the collaboration.

The two organisations intend to work together to develop the production and technical capacity required for a strong AM-based aviation and space supply chain. Both Indian and foreign original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will benefit from this initiative.

The revolutionary potential of 3D printing in aerospace design was emphasised by Maneck Behramkamdin, Executive Vice President and Business Head of Godrej & Boyce’s aerospace division. He highlighted that it can save processing time by up to 80%, minimise material usage by up to 70–80%, and streamline industrial operations.

The collaboration supports Godrej’s objective to increase manufacturing efficiency and diversify its line of eco-friendly products.
