IAF Chief AP Singh Encourages Graduating Officers to Be More Than Just Air Warriors—They Should Be Future Leaders

During the Air Force Academy’s Combined Graduation Parade in Dundigal, Hyderabad, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh recently spoke to the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) graduating officers. He underlined the significance of changing from being merely air warriors to being the IAF’s future commanders and leaders.

“You are the future leaders and commanders, not just warriors, and you will chart the destiny of the Indian Air Force,” Singh said, encouraging the young officers to embrace their positions as future leaders. He emphasized that rather than being a burden, this obligation ought to be an inspiration.

The commissioning of 204 cadets, including 26 women, and the first group from the recently formed Weapons Systems Branch—which was formed to handle the complexity of modern warfare—marked another historic occasion during the ceremony. Several dignitaries attended the celebration, which included aerial displays.
