In Jaipur, Garuda Aerospace and REIL will establish a remote pilot training organization.

A Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) has been established in Jaipur by Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) in collaboration with Garuda Aerospace, a well-known drone manufacturer with headquarters in Tamil Nadu. The goal of this effort, which was unveiled on January 2, 2025, is to meet the growing need for qualified drone pilots in India’s infrastructure, logistics, surveillance, and agricultural sectors.

In accordance with the guidelines established by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the RPTO will provide a thorough training program. Drone maintenance methods, theoretical understanding, and hands-on flight training will all be covered in the program. In addition to improving the skill set of prospective drone pilots, this partnership is anticipated to encourage drone technology adoption in Rajasthan, which will support regional innovation and economic growth.

Garuda Aerospace’s founder and CEO, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, stressed the significance of this collaboration as a calculated investment in creating a solid base for the Indian drone sector. He pointed out that offering top-notch training is essential to generating employment possibilities and increasing public awareness of the potential uses of drone technology in a variety of industries. In a similar vein, REIL’s managing director, Dr. P. N. Sharma, emphasized the enormous potential of drone technology to help a variety of Rajasthani businesses and expressed enthusiasm for the partnership’s role in bringing that potential to fruition.

Garuda Aerospace is committed to improving India’s drone capabilities, and this partnership is another step in that direction. The company has received numerous DGCA clearances for both production and training, and it has already taught more than 1,500 pilots. By establishing an RPTO in Jaipur, Garuda Aerospace and REIL hope to promote local talent development by providing industry-relevant skills and certifications, while also making a significant contribution to India’s objective of becoming a global leader in drone technology and innovation.
