From April 1–4, 2025, New Delhi is hosting the Army Commanders’ Conference. Senior leadership of the Indian Army officials use the conference as a forum to discuss important operational priorities to address new challenges and to review and evaluate the overall security situation.
Rajnath Singh, the minister of defense, will chair the meeting and give the keynote speech. A presentation on the Indian Army’s priorities for the “Year of Reforms” will also be included in the session. The CDS will also address the Army’s senior leadership. The CEO of NITI Aayog will also speak at the conference about India’s journey and the military’s intended role in creating a “Saksham & Sashakt Bharat.”
The senior hierarchy will also hold lengthy discussions with experts to introduce new approaches for efficient decision making, all in line with the Indian Army’s mission to become an Agile, Adaptive, Technologically Enabled, and Future Ready Force. Other topics being discussed will center on improving the general well-being of the organization and streamlining the Field Army’s procedures to increase their adaptability and resilience. In order to improve the standard of living for soldiers and their families, the forum will also address matters pertaining to the welfare and health of its staff.
