India-Japan Semiconductor Collaboration Has Potential, Says External Affairs Minister Jaishankar

The potential for cooperation between India and Japan in the semiconductor industry was recently highlighted by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who described it as a revolutionary partnership that might have a big impact on global geopolitical dynamics. “I am seeing the beginnings of something potentially important here, and potentially really significant for both countries,” he said while speaking at the India-Japan Forum in New Delhi.

Both countries are reviving their semiconductor sectors, Jaishankar noted, with India launching a semiconductor mission after years of neglect and Japan expanding its sector. In this regard, he emphasized the significance of their cooperation with Taiwan, saying that it is essential to maintaining geopolitical equilibrium in the ensuing ten years.

Jaishankar also talked about more general facets of the India-Japan relationship, including as trade, tourism, and education. Although there aren’t any major issues between the two nations, he made the point that encouraging feelings must be turned into workable strategies. Even though Indians are becoming more interested in traveling abroad, he said that Indian tourism to Japan has not yet realized its full potential in comparison to other regions.
