On the Tarn Taran border in Punjab, the BSF recovers a drone.

A drone was successfully retrieved from an agricultural field in the Tarn Taran district by the Punjab Police and the Border Security Force (BSF) in a recent joint operation. At around 7:01 PM, the retrieved drone—which was recognised as a DJI AIR 3S model—was discovered next to the village of Dal.

The BSF is using strong technical countermeasures to stop drones from entering the country from Pakistan as part of its ongoing campaign against narco-drones.

The BSF has taken a proactive role in stopping illegal drone intrusions and smuggling activities. Along the Punjab border, the BSF has seized many drones and heroin shipments in recent weeks.

On March 4, for example, a drone was found in a field of crops close to Amritsar. According to intelligence reports, the BSF also found a suspected heroin packet and a weapon in the Ferozepur district last month.

These operations demonstrate how the BSF and Punjab Police work together to prevent illicit activity along the border and maintain regional security and safety.

Preventing smuggling attempts and preserving border security have been made possible by the BSF’s hard work and technological solutions.
