PM Modi claims that India was among the first nations to acknowledge Kuwait following its independence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s longstanding relationship with the Gulf state during his recent visit, saying, “India was one of the first countries in the world to recognize Kuwait after its independence.” The lengthy diplomatic ties between the two nations, which have been marked by close cultural and economic ties, are reflected in this declaration.

Modi’s trip is significant since it is the first time an Indian prime minister has visited Kuwait in more over 40 years. The Indian diaspora in Kuwait has made significant contributions to improving bilateral ties, which the prime minister recognized. He thanked Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, for the invitation and mentioned that the goal of the visit is to improve collaboration in a number of areas, such as trade and defense.

In line with both countries’ goals for growth and development, the prime minister’s comments highlight India’s dedication to building a strong cooperation with Kuwait.
