Since 2018, the business, a joint venture between Aequs Limited and Aubert & Duval of France, has been producing airplane wheels. Rapid advancement is demonstrated by its manufacturing trajectory, which shows that the next 15,000 wheels were made in just two years, whereas the initial 10,000 wheels took five years to create and were delivered in August 2023.
Aravind Melligeri, the CEO and Executive Chairman of Aequs Limited, stressed that the accomplishment shows a strong commitment to the needs of the customer and adherence to project specifications. He emphasized how Aequs delivered 100% in-country value addition for a number of items, including airplane wheels, by utilizing the Belagavi aerospace cluster’s assets. As a result, the plant is positioned to play a significant role in India’s drive for aerospace production to become more domestically produced.
