Airbus A330 aircraft will be used for the flights, and economy class tickets start at 3,570 yuan (about $523). The flight is scheduled to take off from Beijing at 3:15 pm and reach Delhi at 8:20 pm local time.
Additionally, starting on April 18, China Eastern Airlines will once again operate direct flights between Kunming in Yunnan Province and Kolkata. The airline declared that it will use Boeing 737 aircraft for six round-trip flights per week.
These changes come after IndiGo launched a daily nonstop service between Shanghai and Kolkata, enhancing the two nations’ interconnectedness.
Since the Galwan conflict in 2020 and the Covid-19 outbreak that followed, flights between China and India have been halted. The restoration of direct flights was recently announced by the Ministry of External Affairs, highlighting the significance of aviation in promoting revived bilateral ties.

It is necessary to present proof of hotel reservations and round-trip airline tickets. Pay stubs for salaried applicants, income tax returns, and bank statements with a minimum amount of ₹1,00,000 are among the financial records needed.
Additionally required is a letter of leave from the employer. A sponsor or invitation letter must be supplied when travel is financed or contains an invitation.
Applicants can fill out the form online on the official Chinese visa website, choosing the number of entries (single, double, or multiple), the duration of stay, and the validity of the visa.
