India did not lose any territory at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) during the stalemate with China, according to former Army Chief General MM Naravane.
He emphasized that the administration had granted the military forces total operational discretion to react to the situation as they saw proper.
His comments are made against the backdrop of the issue surrounding his memoir, which sparked political discussion when it was mentioned in Parliament. Naravane stressed that the military has never failed and that it continues to be a resolutely apolitical organization that resists attempts to involve it in political conflicts.
He emphasized that Indian forces have prevailed in Ladakh operations, proving their readiness and fortitude in the face of difficulties.
