According to PTI, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh stated that while the Indian Air Force (IAF) is making progress, it could do it more quickly.
On the occasion of the IAF’s 94th anniversary, he spoke at the Air Force Auditorium at Subroto Park, New Delhi, emphasizing the necessity of bolstering capabilities in the face of quickly advancing technologies.
Even while there has been a lot of progress in improving capabilities, he pointed out that some regions still need more combat mass, faster induction, and larger capacity.
According to the IAF chief, the force has recently moved away from a platform-centric strategy and toward a capability-centric model that places more of an emphasis on integrating different components.
According to Air Chief Marshal Singh, the force has been put to the test through operational deployments, military drills have expanded its capabilities, humanitarian aid and disaster relief missions have placed it beyond of India’s boundaries, and air diplomacy has aided in the growth of strategic alliances.
Although he was pleased with the general course of growth, he added that the Air Force may advance more quickly than it does now and that the rate of development is still up for evaluation.
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit has been nominated to succeed Air Chief Marshal Singh, who is retiring this month.
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh says the IAF is headed in the right direction but needs to build up its capabilities more quickly.
