The Ministry of Defence has awarded a major contract worth ₹152 crore to Zen Technologies, a top Indian defence technology company, to provide an integrated air-defence combat simulator (IADCS) for the L70 gun system.

The IADCS is a state-of-the-art virtual simulation system created exclusively by Zen Technologies’ internal research and development team under the Make II category. Its purpose is to offer thorough training for air defence operations.
The technique seeks to improve operator preparedness and unit-level cooperation by generating hyper-realistic virtual settings that mimic real-world situations, hence decreasing the necessity for expensive and logistically challenging live training exercises.
Zen Technologies’ vice-president, Arjun Dutt Atluri, highlighted the project’s strategic significance, saying it demonstrates their dedication to innovation and their capacity to develop top-notch domestic defence force solutions. Additionally, he was optimistic about the simulator’s ability to draw attention from friendly foreign countries who use antiquated air defence systems like the L70 cannon.
