The triumph of the Amarnath Yatra will convey the message that Kashmir is at peace: Farooq Abdullah

Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, emphasized that if the next Amarnath Yatra is conducted successfully, it will send a powerful message to the rest of India that peace has returned to Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters at Baba Nagri in the Ganderbal district, Abdullah praised the annual pilgrimage’s July 3 start and urged everyone to participate as much as possible, saying that a high pilgrimage rate will help to maintain the area’s sense of stability and normalcy.

He pointed out that by making sure the Yatra is calm and incident-free, the harm done to Kashmir’s reputation after events like the Pahalgam terror assault might be undone.

Attending the annual urs at Baba Nagri, Abdullah also shared his prayers and hopes for more national peace, a better future for young people, and an end to the hate and strife that currently plague the nation.

His statements highlight the Amarnath Yatra’s importance as a religious occasion and a gauge of peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir.
