The PROBA-3 spacecraft’s planned launch on the PSLV-C59 rocket has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 16:12 hours. An abnormality found in the PROBA-3 spacecraft just prior to the first launch timing, which was set for December 4 at 16:08 hours, prompted this decision.
“The PSLV-C59/PROBA-3 launch has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 16:12 hours due to an anomaly detected in the PROBA-3 spacecraft,” ISRO stated in a post on X.
In a social media announcement, ISRO acknowledged the postponement and emphasized the necessity of further spacecraft inspections prior to launch237. The PROBA-3 mission is important because it attempts to install satellites in a highly elliptical orbit and acts as an In-Orbit Demonstration (IOD) of modern technology.
