Magellanic Cloud and Rayonix Tech have partnered with Israel’s Xtend for ₹100 crore to develop cutting-edge defense drones in India.

Surveillance technology firm Magellanic Cloud has announced a joint venture worth ₹100 crore with indigenous defence technology company Rayonix Tech to manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles in India, reported MoneyControl. The collaboration is designed to strengthen India’s defence ecosystem by meeting the rising demand for advanced drone technologies.

TheThe project will be created in collaboration with Xtend, an Israeli company known for its proficiency in software systems, AI-powered robots, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The joint venture hopes to incorporate battle-proven platforms from around the world into India’s defense manufacturing industry by bringing Xtend into the fold.

The effort is a pivotal point in Magellanic Cloud’s quest to transform the defense ecosystem, according to Joseph Sudheer Thumma, Global CEO and Managing Director. He emphasized that the partnership’s goal is to develop an advanced digital nervous system for contemporary warfare rather than just providing drones.

This partnership highlights the increasing significance of domestic production in conjunction with foreign knowledge, putting India in a position to improve its surveillance and warfare capabilities using cutting-edge unmanned technology.
