According to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Economic Survey 2024–25, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has a revolutionary role in infrastructure development, and more public-private partnerships (PPPs) are needed in this area.
In order to establish a strong space ecosystem in India, the report points out that ISRO now runs 56 operational space assets, such as communication, navigation, scientific, and earth observation satellites. The organization’s cutting-edge geospatial tools greatly improve infrastructure management in a number of industries.
The Economic Survey highlights ISRO’s contribution to infrastructure development and urges a significant public-private sector partnership.
